How to judge whether the car alternator is normal

Watch for indicators: If a battery-shaped cue light or alternator indicator lights up on the dashboard, it could mean there is a problem with the alternator.
Use a multi-function meter: If there is a multi-function meter, it can be connected to the diagnostic interface of the car to check the operation of the alternator more accurately. The display of the instrument can help judge whether the alternator is working properly.
Check the battery voltage: Connect a working car in parallel with your car and start the engines of both cars. If the car battery voltage does not rise or the rise is very small, it may indicate that the alternator is faulty.
Check the alternator belt: Check the belt in the engine compartment for wear, looseness, or breakage. Belt problems can cause the alternator to not work properly.
Test the output: Use a voltmeter connected directly to both ends of the alternator and start the engine. Under normal circumstances, the voltmeter pointer should fluctuate between 13 and 15 volts. If the voltage is too low or too high, it may indicate a problem with the alternator.
