Check for any broken wires, misconnections, or short circuits at the external wiring connections of the generator, and use a voltmeter to measure for battery voltage at the B+point.
Knock down the key door to the "open" position, but do not start the engine. At this time, use a voltmeter to measure whether there is voltage at point D+and observe whether the charging indicator light is bright.
Start the engine and measure the B+point voltage of the engine with a voltmeter, which should reach the following value(The generator does not have voltage output. The following method can be used to check. For generators that generate excitation D+points, a 2.5mm2 wire can be led from the positive pole of the battery. After starting the engine, click on the D+point instantly with the other end (within 1 second), and then use a voltmeter to measure whether there is voltage output at the B+point. If there is, check from the third step to the fifth step. At the same time, it can be determined that there is a broken circuit in the charging indicator light circuit of the whole vehicle (usually due to damage to the indicator light, loose connections on the instrument panel, and broken circuit). If there is no voltage output, the generator has a fault of not generating electricity.)
Turn on some loads, such as car lights
Turn on the main electrical appliances such as air conditioning and car lights
