What is a starter motor?

Starter switch: The starter switch controls the on/off of the starter circuit and the engagement between the one-way gear and the engine flywheel through its contacts. After the engine starts, the transmission mechanism disengages the driving gear from the electric motor to prevent the generator from driving the electric motor to run at excessive speed and damaging the starter.
