Why does the starter rotor stator need to be painted?

The main methods of dipping paint include pouring, immersion, and vacuum pressure dipping. For the painting of a single repaired motor, immersion and vacuum pressure immersion are commonly used, while immersion and vacuum pressure immersion are usually used for manufacturing motors. Immersion can be considered for batch production, and vacuum pressure immersion is only used for high-voltage motors.

一:Purpose of immersion painting

(1) Improve the moisture resistance of winding insulation.

(2) Slow down the aging rate of winding insulation, improve thermal conductivity, and enhance heat dissipation effect.

(3) Improve the electrical performance and mechanical strength of the winding.

(4) Improve the chemical stability of winding insulation, making it capable of preventing mold, corona, and oil stains.

二:The commonly used dipping methods for repairing motor windings are shown in the table below.

name

Key points of process

General scope of application

immerse

The workpiece sinks into the paint solution, utilizing the pressure of the paint solution and the capillary action of the winding insulation to achieve the penetration and filling of the paint

Small and medium-sized electric motors

Vacuum, pressure

Use vacuum to remove air, moisture, and volatile substances from the inner layer of the winding in a sealed container, and apply a pressure of 0.2-0.7 MPa on the liquid surface after painting

High quality small and medium-sized electric motors are required; High voltage motor using integral impregnation process

Drip immersion

The winding is heated and rotated, and the paint dropped on the end of the winding uniformly penetrates into the interior of the winding and the slot under the action of gravity, capillary tube, and centrifugal force

Small electric motor

Roll up

Immerse a part of the winding with insulating paint, and roll the iron core to make the end of the winding and the gap in the slot soaked and filled

Large and medium-sized electric motors

Pouring paint

Pour paint onto the end of the winding to ensure that the winding is fully and evenly coated with paint

End of winding for large and medium-sized electric motors

Spray painting

Appropriate viscosity ensures that the surface of the winding is fully and uniformly coated with paint

Surface coverage of winding
